Delivery

Høvding Seafood AS buys fresh salmon from its suppliers and resells it in its own name to business customers. We do not sell to consumers.

Delivery terms

  • Delivery is EXW, Incoterms 2020, at the terminal at Gardermoen stated in the order confirmation, unless another delivery term has been agreed in writing in the order confirmation.
  • The supplier delivers the goods ready at the terminal.
  • The risk passes to the customer when the terminal has issued a receipt for the hand-over. We send the receipt to the customer the same day.
  • The customer collects the goods within the pick-up window stated in the order confirmation.

The customer is the exporter

  • The customer is the exporter and declarant, or lets a Norwegian forwarder or agent act as exporter. Høvding does not act as exporter or declarant.
  • The exporter pays the export levy to the Norwegian Seafood Council (Sjømatrådet) and applies for the health certificate from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet).
  • Before the first order, the customer documents registration in the Norwegian Seafood Council's exporter register, for itself or for its Norwegian forwarder or agent, or a written exemption from the Norwegian Seafood Council.
  • The customer is responsible for market access in the destination country.

Costs

Freight to the Terminal is shown as a separate item in the offer and the Order Confirmation and is included in the total price, unless the Order Confirmation states otherwise. Once the risk has passed, the customer pays all costs, including cooling and storage, transport, export clearance, health certificate, export levy and charges in the destination country.

Payment

  • The customer pays the full total price in advance in NOK. We place the order with our supplier only after payment has been received.
  • The prepayment is calculated on the upper weight of the weight tolerance stated in the offer. If the actual weight is lower, we refund the difference. If it is higher, only the prepayment amount is invoiced. We grant no credit after collection.
  • The customer pays all bank charges (OUR).
  • Prices are stated in NOK. Value added tax is added in accordance with the applicable rules.

Deviations at collection

Deviations are recorded in a collection note on the waybill or CMR when the goods are collected, and sent to us the same day. The time limits for complaints are set out in the Terms of Sale, Payment and Delivery, clause 6.

Terms

The Terms of Sale, Payment and Delivery apply to all sales. They are attached to every offer and must be accepted in writing before an order.
